Job Title: Onsite Medical Representative (Medical Representative – Fargo) Job Description The Onsite Medical Representative provides first aid and health support to associates in a fast-paced industrial environment, working closely with the Workplace Health & Safety team to promote safety, wellness, and regulatory compliance. This role independently assesses injuries and illnesses, offers guidance on occupational and non-occupational health concerns, and coordinates care with external medical providers as needed.

The position plays a key role in workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs, supports safety operations, and actively engages with associates and leadership on the operations floor to reduce injury risk through coaching and education. Responsibilities Independently assess and administer first aid to associates for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Provide first aid support and make referrals to outside medical providers when additional care is required.

Advocate for health and wellness principles and consistently support associates through daily one-on-one interactions. Participate in weekly case management review meetings and associate safety committee meetings as needed. Greet new hires at the site and introduce them to available health and safety resources. Minimize the risk of associate injury through proactive awareness, education, and engagement on the operations floor.

Engage with associates and leadership to provide coaching regarding observed at-risk work habits and body mechanics. Maintain accurate and confidential records of all care provided to associates. Coordinate and maintain workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for associates with work-related injuries. Prepare and submit daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports in a timely and accurate manner.

Support onsite safety operations and collaborate with the Workplace Health & Safety manager, specialist, and Injury Prevention Specialist. Maintain a clean and organized working environment and ensure appropriate medical supply inventory is consistently stocked. Participate in training and certification activities to facilitate first aid, CPR, and AED certification classes. Maintain current first aid, CPR, AED, and Basic Life Support credentials as required for the role.

Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols in accordance with site procedures. Maintain effective care delivery during emergencies and assist with emergency response activities at the site. Learn and apply OSHA regulations, risk assessment, and analysis related to workplace health and safety. Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach as part of daily duties. Stand and walk for up to 12 hours during shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Work in areas with variable noise levels and changing temperatures, including outside loading departments. Continuously climb and descend stairs at sites where stair access is required. Work flexible shifts, which may include days, nights, holidays, and weekends as operational needs require. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved emergency cardiac care provider.

Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic certification from a Department of Health or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). Ability to obtain adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within three weeks if not already certified. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
