Description The NOC / Service Management Analyst is responsible for monitoring enterprise network and system health, managing incidents, and ensuring timely communication and coordination during outages. This role serves as a critical link between monitoring operations and technical support teams, ensuring service continuity and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Monitoring & Alert Response: Monitor network and system health using enterprise monitoring tools.
Respond to alerts and collaborate with Level 2/Level 3 support teams for troubleshooting and resolution. Escalate issues appropriately based on severity and impact. Knowledge Management: Maintain and update Knowledge Base (KB) articles with handling instructions for recurring alerts and incidents. Ensure KBs are accurate, accessible, and aligned with current operational procedures. Incident Management: Ensure all incident details are accurately documented in ServiceNow, the system of record.
Act as Incident Manager during technical bridge calls for major outages. Coordinate resources and send timely communications during major incidents. Verify startup and shutdown procedures for critical applications. Confirm successful completion of critical job KPIs and batch processes. Vendor & Change Coordination: Communicate vendor-related outages to L2/L3 teams. Skills communication & people skills, Network operations center, servicenow, ticketing system, Troubleshooting, Running Bridges, Ccna Top Skills Details communication & people skills,Network operations center,servicenow Additional Skills & Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred) 0–2 years of experience in NOC, help desk, IT operations, or technical support Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) Familiarity with ITIL fundamentals and incident management Exposure to monitoring tools (Datadog, SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.) Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays Preferred Enterprise or financial services environment experience Datadog dashboards and alert configuration ServiceNow incident, event, and knowledge modules Runbook / SOP documentation experience Basic scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) CompTIA Network+, Security+, or ITIL certification Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Richardson, TX.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
