Job Title: Operator Job Description The Operator will proficiently operate, monitor, and maintain the daily functions of production equipment, which may include Cartoners, Labelers, Wrappers, Pouching, Stick Machines, and accessories. The role also involves assisting with end-of-line packaging, filling shippers, stacking shippers, and handling full pallets. It is essential to ensure all machine operations and work comply with GMPs and company SOPs, observe product and machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Responsibilities Operate and monitor production equipment efficiently. Assist with end-of-line packaging and pallet handling. Ensure compliance with GMPs and company SOPs. Detect and address defects or machine malfunctions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area. Follow good documentation practices and understand batch records. Set up, tear down, and load correct formulas. Check weight limits and document output and downtime.
Complete batch records and log books accurately. Label and palletize pressed products. Essential Skills Proficient in machine operating and machine operation. Mechanically inclined with strong math skills. Experience in food manufacturing and general production. Familiarity with hand tools and packaging machines. Knowledge of GMP standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1 year of machine operation experience in a GMP environment or mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Physically capable of standing and walking throughout the shift. Able to lift 40 lbs or move up to 50 lbs as needed. Why Work Here? Jewelry and cell phones are not allowed on the production floor, and there is a noticeable fruit smell due to the handling of fruit-flavored powders. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.15 - $24.66/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
