Description Project: Large-Scale Logistics System Modernization Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Oracle Functional Specialist to support the modernization of a major logistics enterprise. The specialist will be a key member of a transformation and integration team, responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of a new Oracle SaaS-based logistics management system. This role focuses on aligning the system's out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities with business requirements, driving process re-engineering, and ensuring the solution meets the strategic objectives of the program.
Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion experience required. Key Responsibilities: o Business Process Analysis and Re-engineering: o Analyze and document current ("As-Is") logistics and supply chain business processes within legacy systems. o Conduct fit-gap analysis to compare business needs against the native capabilities of the Oracle SaaS solution, identifying areas for process improvement and minimizing technical customization.
o Design and develop optimized ("To-Be") business process maps and workflows that align with industry best practices and leverage standard Oracle SaaS functionality. o Business Requirements Management: o Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, concise, and comprehensive functional requirements. o Manage and govern the requirements lifecycle, ensuring all requirements are captured, tracked, and traced within a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
o Review inbound functional requirements and recommend changes to underlying business processes and/or policies to enable use of Oracle Fusion OOTB capabilities, challenging requests for customization and guiding stakeholders toward standard solutions. o System and Solution Analysis: o Act as a subject matter expert on the Oracle SaaS solution's logistics and supply chain modules. o Provide functional support for testing activities, including facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that the solution meets business intent and complies with all relevant policies and requirements.
o Analyze and de-conflict organizational policies, directives, and procedures that may hinder the adoption of modern, industry-standard logistics processes. o Data and Compliance: o Support the implementation of a data governance and management plan to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of accountable property data within the new system. o Assist in documenting and mapping key security, compliance, and auditability requirements to the system design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. • Proven experience as an Oracle Functional Consultant or Specialist, with a strong focus on Oracle Cloud SaaS applications (e.g., Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM, ERP). • Demonstrated experience in business process analysis, fit-gap analysis, and process re-engineering.
• Expertise in translating business needs into functional requirements and managing them throughout a project lifecycle. • Familiarity with Agile or Lean-Agile project management methodologies. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to advocate for standard solutions over customization. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance is required (level: Secret).
