Job Title: Order Processing Clerk Job Description The Order Processor will provide customers with information regarding prices and availability of catalog and non-catalog products. The role involves processing and entering orders for products received via internet, email, phone, and mail, as well as answering incoming calls from customers concerning label queries. You will also place outgoing calls to customers to obtain information necessary to verify orders.
Responsibilities Route orders received by the Order Processing Department. Process orders with all critical information necessary to produce labels to customer's specifications. Review orders received for accurate pricing, spelling, and other information. Contact customers to confirm missing or additional information on orders and quotes, such as quantity and ink color. Prepare and ensure the completeness of order jackets and submit them to Quality Assurance.
Answer incoming telephone calls regarding Order Processing orders or inquiries about items and their availability. Enter customer's specific quote requests into the computer and send quotes via email or auto fax. Compute prices, discounts, and shipping charges on label orders and quote requests. Retrieve quote requests from the Quote Queue, complete the quote, or send it to the appropriate area for completion.
Outsource orders to other vendors, follow-up on orders including confirmation, shipping charges, tracking numbers, activation, and invoicing. Handle special accounts which may require special procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Inspection Data entry Order processing Customer service Order entry Call center experience Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Additional Skills & Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required.
One or more years of relevant experience preferred. General computer skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prior customer service experience and technical printing knowledge helpful. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in sometimes complex situations.
Computer savvy and comfortable with technology. Charismatic and dynamic in-person and phone communicator. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to handle conflict and manage customer expectations. Work Environment The work environment is typically a general warehouse/office setting, though you may spend short periods in manufacturing environments exposed to dust, dirt, high noise levels, and temperature variations. The role requires hearing, speaking, articulation, and manual dexterity, with regular use of color vision, grasping, reaching, and prolonged periods of sitting.
Work shifts are Monday to Friday, with options from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM or 11 AM to 7 PM, including a shift differential. Training will be conducted Monday to Thursday during the day shift for about four weeks, regardless of the assigned shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
