Wallpaper Manufacturing Company Urgently Hiring Packers to Start ASAP Location: Fairfield, NJ Shift: 10am-6:30pm (Monday-Friday) Pay: $18/hour ; Overtime: $27/hour Job Description This role focuses on accurately picking, packing, and processing samples and orders within a warehouse environment to ensure that all items are prepared and shipped with precision and delivered on time. You will play a key part in maintaining smooth fulfillment operations and supporting overall inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities Pick orders and samples from warehouse inventory with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Pack products securely and efficiently to ensure items arrive in excellent condition. Process samples and orders in accordance with established procedures and timelines. Organize and maintain inventory locations to support efficient picking and packing activities. Use warehouse systems and tools to track, record, and verify orders and inventory.
Follow all safety and handling guidelines when lifting, moving, and packing items. Work effectively during the assigned first shift schedule to meet daily fulfillment targets. Communicate clearly in English when reading instructions, labels, and reports related to orders and inventory. Support general warehouse upkeep by keeping work areas clean, orderly, and free of hazards. Essential Skills Ability to read and analyze documents, reports, labels, and computer screens in English.
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally up to 50 pounds as required. Comfort working in humid or hot environments in a non–temperature-controlled warehouse. Previous experience in fulfillment centers, warehouse inventory, or order picking and packing is strongly preferred. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, and processing of samples and orders.
Reliability in meeting schedules and production goals during the first shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with warehouse inventory management processes. Hands-on experience with picking, packing, and order fulfillment in a warehouse setting. Background in warehouse packing, order picking, and general warehouse operations. Ability to communicate clearly in English, both reading and speaking, in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort using basic warehouse tools and equipment as part of daily operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FAIRFIELD, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
