Job Title: PO3 Assembler Job Description $20-$22.25!!!! The PO3 Assembler operates a variety of tools, equipment, and processes to assemble products according to established instructions, drawings, and quality standards. This role combines hands-on mechanical assembly with basic computer use, accurate documentation, and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives. The assembler works both independently and as part of a cross-functional team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
Responsibilities Operate tools, equipment, and assembly processes in accordance with provided work instructions and established procedures. Leverage prior experience to operate tools and processes with limited or no instructions when appropriate, ensuring safe and correct use. Assist in creating or improving work instructions when documentation is incomplete or not available. Understand and adhere to standard work practices, including all quality policies and customer specifications.
Monitor personal work output to ensure it meets quality standards and product requirements. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, escalating issues, defects, or process concerns when necessary. Maintain accurate timekeeping and labor tracking records for all assigned tasks and work orders. Complete required record keeping, including inventory control, process documentation, scrap reporting, and quality records.
Support and participate actively in improvement initiatives focused on safety, cleanliness, product quality, and efficiency. Generate ideas and contribute innovative solutions to complex problems within the production environment. Stay current on all required certifications and training associated with the role and assigned processes. Consistently complete assignments on time without compromising quality standards.
Effectively manage workload and prioritize tasks to meet production schedules and deadlines. Train other team members on assigned tasks and processes when requested or assigned. Adapt to changing priorities, products, and processes, and remain flexible in performing different tasks on a frequent basis. Apply sound judgment and initiative when addressing production issues or making decisions related to daily work.
Essential Skills At least 2+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing or similar hands-on environment. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to read and interpret assembly diagrams and blueprints. Basic computer skills, including the ability to use computers for timekeeping, documentation, and inventory tracking. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and documentation.
Ability to adapt to change in tasks, processes, and priorities. Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Effective oral and written communication skills to interact with supervisors and team members. Ability to exercise sound judgment and demonstrate initiative in daily work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfort learning and performing different tasks on a frequent basis within the production area.
Willingness to participate in continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, and efficiency. Ability to maintain accurate records related to labor, inventory, scrap, and quality.
