Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Hardware Power Electronics Engineer to join our development team and help expand our product portfolio in solar, energy storage, EV charging, and test applications. The ideal candidate brings a strong skills in IGBT, Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFET, and Gallium Nitride (GaN) power conversion design, and enjoys leading innovative hardware projects from concept through productization in a collaborative, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities Develop next-generation power electronics solutions for solar, energy storage, EV charging, and test applications using SiC and GaN MOSFET technologies. Design and implement high-frequency bidirectional DC-DC converters, AC-DC grid-tie inverters, and resonant converter topologies. Lead the full development lifecycle from initial concept and architecture through detailed design, prototyping, validation, and productization.

Create and refine innovative digital control algorithms to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability of power converter systems. Design advanced magnetics, including high-frequency inductors and transformers, to meet demanding electrical and thermal requirements. Collaborate closely with PCB layout designers to realize high-density, high-voltage power designs with careful attention to EMI/EMC and thermal performance.

Work closely with mechanical designers to develop complete product designs, including sheet metal, heat sinks, bus bars, and other mechanical components. Drive UL and CE compliance activities for various products, ensuring adherence to relevant safety and performance standards. Lead EMC compliance efforts, including design strategies and testing to meet regulatory and customer requirements. Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and incorporate customer feedback into design decisions and product improvements.

Support project teams in achieving budget and schedule targets by providing accurate technical input and disciplined execution. Foster open communication and effective collaboration across technical and business functions, including sales, operations, and quality. Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, standardization, and high-quality design with a strong emphasis on manufacturability. Ensure adherence to all safety rules, work regulations, and departmental housekeeping standards in the engineering environment.

Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Strong in power electronics design, including converters and related hardware. Solid understanding of basic physics and electronics fundamentals. Strong knowledge of high-frequency power stages, filtering, circuit protection, thermal management, and EMI/EMC considerations. Proficiency with Matlab, Simulink, and SimPower Systems for modeling, simulation, and analysis of power electronic systems.

Demonstrated experience with product development processes, from concept through validation and release. Minimum 4 years of related experience in power electronics and control systems design. Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments, and consistently meet deadlines. Strong process orientation and discipline, with demonstrated use of structured problem-solving tools such as 5-Why Analysis, 8D methodologies, and six sigma approaches. Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork in a technical environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Master’s degree in power electronics is highly desirable.

More than 5 years of industry experience in power converter development as a new product development (NPD) or research and development (R&D) engineer. At least 5 years of experience in design, testing, and debugging of DC-
