Production Associate - 1st Shift - Pay Up To $21/hr

Production Associate - $21/hr - (1st and 3rd shift) Job Description The Production Associate operates industrial sewing and related machinery on the production floor to cut tarps to size, perform quality checks, and support multiple production lines. This role focuses on completing all tasks safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean, organized work area and contributing to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities Perform a variety of tasks on the production floor as required to support ongoing manufacturing operations. Operate industrial sewing equipment and machinery to cut tarps to the appropriate size and specifications. Set up machinery before production runs and make necessary adjustments or changeovers between runs. Perform thorough quality checks on finished colors and tarps, inspecting color, size, measurements, and any defects.

Operate and oversee multiple production lines as needed to meet production goals. Use hand and power tools, including tape measures, in daily tasks such as cutting, assembly, and packaging. Perform packaging, packing, assembly, and inspection tasks to ensure products are prepared correctly for shipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift. Follow all safety procedures and participate in ongoing safety practices while working on the production floor.

Multi-task effectively and work independently to complete assigned duties within expected timeframes. Use basic computer skills to perform simple tasks related to production, tracking, or documentation. Essential Skills Comfort working on feet in a fast-paced production or general labor environment. Ability to operate industrial sewing equipment and basic production machinery. Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic shop math.

Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Capability to perform packaging, assembly, inspection, and packing tasks. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Comfort using basic computer functions to complete simple tasks. Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail when inspecting product color, size, measurements, and potential defects.

Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous manufacturing or general production experience is a plus, but not required. Experience with machine operation and machine setup in a production setting is beneficial. Experience using construction tools, power tools, and hand tools is advantageous. Experience operating forklifts or CNC equipment is a plus.

Comfort working in a non climate-controlled facility. Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift as required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wooster, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
