Job Title: Production Operator Job Description The Production Operator plays a key role in manufacturing high-quality products by operating production equipment, monitoring processes, and maintaining accurate records of materials and output. This role involves working on a fixed, full-time schedule in a clean manufacturing environment and contributing directly to products that have a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
Responsibilities Operate production equipment to convert raw materials into finished goods according to established procedures and specifications. Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials used in manufacturing and keep up-to-date data sheets on materials in process. Perform in-process tests to ensure production meets required specifications, including checks for hardness, weight, variation, pH, and moisture content.
Recognize equipment malfunctions and product deficiencies and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal production performance. Follow blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics to assemble and manufacture products correctly. Maintain running accounts of orders received, work completed, and current inventory levels. Match workload, staffing, and equipment capacity to existing inventory to support efficient production planning.
Prepare and monitor master schedules by coordinating with materials planning, production, and maintenance personnel. Requisition materials based on production needs and determined delivery dates. Apply judgment and basic problem-solving skills to resolve moderately complex production and process issues. Develop advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment used in the manufacturing process.
Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience in production or manufacturing environments. Proficiency in operating production and manufacturing machinery. Ability to perform data input into computer systems, including basic use of Excel. Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing or production setting. Ability to work with microscopes for inspection or process-related tasks.
Capacity to perform in-process testing and interpret results for hardness, weight, variation, pH, and moisture content. Ability to read and follow blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics accurately. Demonstrated judgment and basic problem-solving skills to handle moderately complex tasks and issues. Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation related to materials, inventory, and production activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Vocational training related to manufacturing, production, or technical operations. External certifications in relevant disciplines, where applicable. Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams such as materials planning, production, and maintenance. Ability to manage workload and equipment capacity in relation to inventory levels. Comfort working in a structured, schedule-driven environment.

Work Environment This role is based in a clean manufacturing environment focused on producing medical equipment. The position follows an FHD schedule of 3:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday. Work involves operating production machinery, using hand tools and microscopes, and entering data into computer systems such as Excel. Employees are expected to wear appropriate closed-toe shoes as part of the dress code and adhere to established safety and cleanliness standards throughout the facility.
