Production Operator

Job Title: Production Operator Job Description The Production Operator sets up, operates, and changes over automated packaging line equipment in a fast-paced, GMP-compliant manufacturing environment. This role performs quality checks, basic machine troubleshooting, and data entry while working closely with packaging staff to keep the line running efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Set up and perform changeovers of automated packaging line equipment according to production requirements.

Start and stop machinery to complete basic troubleshooting and ensure continuous, efficient line operation. Work closely with packagers and other production staff to ensure the packaging line runs smoothly and meets output targets. Perform quality checks on weights, labels, packaging, jams, and other product specifications to maintain high standards. Use computer systems and scales to accurately enter and record data such as product weights and production information.

Complete all required production and quality paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. Carry out sanitation tasks as necessary to maintain a clean and compliant production area. Lead or support the operation of a production line, helping coordinate activities to meet schedule and safety requirements. Apply and enforce Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) protocols on the production floor. Follow and promote Health and Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Handle labelling, packing, and general labor tasks associated with production and packaging processes. Operate forklifts and human-machine interfaces (HMI) as needed for line operation and material handling. Lift up to 30 lbs repetitively as part of normal production and packaging duties. Essential Skills At least 3 years of machine operating experience on a packaging line. Proven experience with basic troubleshooting of production and packaging equipment.

Strong English communication skills, including reading and writing. Ability to lift 30 lbs repetitively throughout the shift. Hands-on experience with machine operation in a production or manufacturing environment. Background in packaging and quality control within a production setting. Experience with line operation, including monitoring equipment and product flow. Comfort working in a very fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Experience leading or overseeing a production line. Strong understanding of Health and Safety protocols in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Strong knowledge of GMP protocols and the ability to enforce GMP requirements on the production floor. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a large manufacturing facility with heavily automated, state-of-the-art equipment. Knowledge of quality assurance practices in a GMP environment.

Experience with general labor tasks in production, including packing and labelling. Ability to use computer systems and scales for data entry and production reporting. Experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Familiarity with human-machine interfaces (HMI) used for line operation and equipment control. Why Work Here?
