Job Title: Project Manager Job Description The Project Manager supports a range of public sector projects, overseeing the full lifecycle of architectural mandates for civic, justice, government, and cultural facilities. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality projects in highly regulated and transparent environments, emphasizing cost certainty, risk management, and delivery excellence. Responsibilities Manage end‑to‑end public sector projects from the perspective of an architecture consultant, coordinating design, planning, and delivery activities.
Work within highly regulated and transparent environments, ensuring compliance with requirements, standards, and complex procurement models. Prioritize cost certainty, proactive risk management, and on‑time delivery for each project. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop holistic design solutions that address public mandates for security, accessibility, and openness. Integrate sustainable and resilient design strategies into projects to support essential services and strengthen civic identity.
Manage multi‑stakeholder governance, including coordination with public authorities, community partners, and other stakeholders. Contribute to inclusive engagement processes and partnerships, including with Indigenous communities, to ensure buildings meet long‑term community needs. Use Deltek Vantage to track projects, manage resources, handle budgeting, and produce reports, maintaining accurate data and transparency.
Support long‑term project planning, accounting for extended planning horizons typical of public facilities. Maintain and appropriately use reliability security clearance when working on projects that require this level of authorization. Work collaboratively with designers, engineers, and other professionals to deliver programs and solutions that drive project success. Communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and key decisions.
Adapt to a corporate environment and contribute to a culture focused on collaboration, design excellence, and sustainable practices. Essential Skills Over 8 years of proven project management experience. Project management experience specifically from the perspective of an architecture consultant. Proficiency with Deltek Vantage for project and financial management. Valid reliability security clearance.
Demonstrated experience with public building projects (civic, justice, government, or cultural). Ability to work in highly regulated and transparent environments. Skill in managing complex procurement models and multi‑stakeholder governance. Comfort working in a corporate environment. Strong skills in cost management, risk management, and schedule adherence. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
Additional Skills and Qualifications Experience designing and delivering civic, justice, government, or cultural facilities. Knowledge of sustainable and resilient design strategies in the context of public buildings. Ability to balance security, accessibility, and openness in public building projects. Experience working with inclusive engagement processes and community partnerships, including with Indigenous communities.
