Job Title: Quality Specialist- Hygienist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Quality Specialist-Hygienist to join our team and ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance on the manufacturing floor. This role is crucial in maintaining environmental monitoring, pest control, leak control, and GMP compliance. Responsibilities Spend over 50% of your time on the floor, responding to leaks, pest sightings, and environmental hits.
Conduct investigations and deviations, develop Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions. Document deviations and investigations and potentially assist with SOP writing. Handle 1-2 deviations at a time, prioritizing and multitasking due to the dynamic nature of the role. Collaborate closely with QA Technicians on shift to identify investigation points and respond on the floor. Perform GMP audits through daily and formal walks on the floor.
Complete write-ups for environmental incidents, managing 2-3 investigation write-ups over 30-45 days. Co-own GMP, pest, leak, and zoning programs with QA Engineers, focusing more on environmental aspects. Essential Skills B.S. in Life Sciences with 2+ years of experience in a GMP environment. 2+ years of GMP experience in food, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industries. Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
Quality assurance expertise. Experience in the food manufacturing sector. Additional Skills & Qualifications PCQI for human food (preferred). HACCP certification (preferred). Strong relationship-building and coaching skills. Experience with pre-requisite programs, hygiene, and sanitation. Working knowledge of pathogens and environmental monitoring. Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Understanding of cGMPs and FDA requirements. Work Environment This role involves spending approximately 50% of your time on the manufacturing floor and 50% in an office setting. You will work closely with a team of QA Hygienists and QA Engineers, as well as Associate Quality Engineers and QA Technicians. The position offers opportunities for career advancement, as demonstrated by current leaders who have been promoted from within.
During the contract period, consultants will accrue 1 week of PTO and enjoy 6 holidays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eau Claire, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.21 - $35.58/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
