Job Title: Reach Truck Operator Job Description This role involves safely and efficiently operating a reach truck and other material handling equipment to support warehouse operations. You will accurately pick and build customer orders, move and transport products throughout the facility, and maintain a clean and organized work area while performing repetitive physical tasks during your shift. Responsibilities Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Accurately select, pick, and build customer orders using RF or voice-picking systems where applicable. Load, move, and transport products throughout the warehouse using reach trucks, forklifts, and walkie riders. Use RF scanners to locate, pick, and verify inventory and maintain accurate stock records. Train on the 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM shift for a few days and adapt to assigned shift schedules as required.
Essential Skills Minimum 1 year of forklift experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Proven experience operating a reach truck and reach forklift. Valid Walkie Rider license from a recognized or preferred forklift training provider. Experience with material handling and operating walkie equipment. Ability to lift 20–50 lbs repetitively throughout the shift. Clear English communication skills for verbal and written instructions.
Experience using RF scanners for inventory, picking, and order processing. Work Environment The facility is very clean, new, and well-lit, with bright lights and climate control to support a comfortable working environment. All products and material handling operations use Raymond equipment, including reach trucks and related tools. Work is performed on-site in a warehouse setting with repetitive lifting of 20–50 lbs and regular use of RF scanners and material handling equipment.
The schedule offers Monday to Friday shifts with options of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and initial training will take place on the 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM shift for a few days. There are no afternoon shifts. Public transportation is not available nearby, so employees need their own vehicle or reliable transportation to reach the workplace. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.15 - $22.15/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
