Job Title: Receiving Inspector Job Description The Receiving Inspector role functions as a Quality Control technician working in the warehouse of an aerospace manufacturing company in Phoenix, AZ. The primary focus of this position is to verify the accuracy of basic part dimensions and sizes using hand inspection tools, while also utilizing strong computer skills to document and verify information.
Responsibilities Conduct basic quality inspections for the majority of the day. Use micrometers and calipers to perform inspections of materials. Monitor the internal auditing system. Enter data from final inspections into the internal database. Manage data entry for incoming and outgoing shipments of engine components. Utilize Microsoft Office proficiently. Familiarize with UPS and FedEx coding and labeling systems.
Essential Skills Proficiency in logistics, data entry, order tracking, and inventory control. Experience in material handling and quality control. Familiarity with receiving inspection and warehouse inventory management. Ability to use micrometers and calipers for inspections. Proficient in documentation and quality control procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Background in aerospace is ideal but not required. Basic shipping and receiving experience. Intermediate to advanced computer experience required. Work Environment This position operates on the second shift from Monday to Thursday, 2:15 pm to 11:45 pm, and Friday from 2:15 pm to 6:15 pm. The work environment is an aerospace manufacturing facility located on-site at Honeywell near Sky Harbor Airport. The company adheres to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement principles.
The attire includes steel-toed shoes, jeans, and a work polo. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
