Conveyor Line Maintenance Mechanic Job Description This role focuses on supporting an operations maintenance team by repairing, maintaining, and improving material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and distribution equipment throughout a large facility. You will work hands-on with mechanical and robotics-related systems to keep operations running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities Repair and maintain material handling equipment across the facility to ensure reliable and efficient operation. Inspect, troubleshoot, and service pneumatic systems throughout the building to prevent failures and performance issues. Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging equipment used in high-volume distribution operations. Install, maintain, and repair automated distribution equipment, including mechanical and robotics-related components.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on material handling and pneumatic systems to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned downtime. Identify mechanical issues, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner. Document maintenance activities accurately to support tracking, compliance, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize impact on production schedules.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working on equipment to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others. Essential Skills Proven experience as a maintenance technician working with material handling equipment. Hands-on ability to repair and maintain pneumatic systems in an industrial or distribution environment. Capability to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging equipment.
Capability to install, maintain, and repair automated distribution equipment and related mechanical systems. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret equipment information and follow maintenance procedures. Attention to detail when troubleshooting, repairing, and documenting work on complex equipment. Commitment to following safety practices while working with mechanical and pneumatic systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a high-volume distribution or automated warehouse environment. Familiarity with robotics or automated material handling technologies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Breinigsville, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.
