Job Title: Sr Mechanical Designer Job Description The Mechanical Designer will support the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for semiconductor manufacturing facilities. This role focuses on both base-build facility design and tool installation projects, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality, constructible solutions in complex semiconductor environments.

Responsibilities Develop detailed mechanical system designs, layouts, and construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit. Prepare comprehensive mechanical plans, including piping layouts, HVAC systems, process utility routing, and equipment installation drawings. Support semiconductor facility projects, including tool installation, equipment fit-up, and base-build infrastructure design. Coordinate mechanical designs with process, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines to ensure fully integrated solutions.

Review project requirements and ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. Assist with field verification, site walks, and coordination with construction teams to resolve design and installation issues. Perform or support mechanical engineering calculations, including airflow, pressure drop, equipment sizing, and utility demand calculations. Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations to improve project execution, constructability, and system performance.

Maintain project schedules and deliver accurate, high-quality drawing packages within established deadlines. Collaborate with team members to continuously improve design standards, workflows, and documentation quality for semiconductor and industrial projects. Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer. Strong proficiency (approximately 8/10) in AutoCAD and/or Revit for mechanical design and drafting.

Hands-on experience working on semiconductor projects, including tool installation and base-build infrastructure. Experience with mechanical design and mechanical engineering concepts for building and process systems. Experience with, or openness to learning, mechanical calculations such as airflow, pressure drop, equipment sizing, and utility demand. Ability to develop detailed mechanical system designs, piping layouts, HVAC systems, and process utility routing.

Ability to coordinate effectively with process, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines. Capability to interpret and apply relevant codes, standards, and client specifications in mechanical designs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality construction documents. Ability to manage time effectively to meet project schedules and deadlines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with semiconductor and industrial project environments, including tool install and base-build work.

Proficiency in both Revit and AutoCAD for 2D and 3D mechanical design is highly desirable. Experience supporting field verification, site walks, and construction coordination. Comfort participating in design reviews and providing clear, constructive technical feedback. Interest in continuous learning and expanding expertise in mechanical calculations and semiconductor facility systems. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.

Ability to adapt to changing project requirements while maintaining design quality and schedule commitments. Eligibility to participate in employer-sponsored benefits, including health, dental, vision, paid time off, and retirement plans, in accordance with company policies. Work Environment The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with on-site presence required on Tuesdays and Thursdays and remote work on the remaining days.
