Job Title: Senior Quality Technician II Job Description The Senior Quality Technician II supports the quality of avionics hardware for electro-optical systems, working closely with electrical hardware development, prototyping, fabrication, testing, and production. This role focuses on final product disposition, inspection, and adherence to quality standards, while contributing to mission-driven space technologies that support national security, satellite payloads, missile tracking, and space domain awareness.

You will join a collaborative, hands-on team where you work close to the hardware, see systems move from development through integration and testing, and make a tangible impact on fast-moving, cutting-edge projects alongside experienced technical experts. Responsibilities Perform final disposition of finished products, including release to stock and outgoing quality control activities. Evaluate production and test data against product requirements and operating protocols to determine the final inspection status of products.

Prepare deliverable product data packages in accordance with program and procedural requirements. Conduct process verifications and audits as assigned to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures. Support Quality System training initiatives by sharing knowledge and reinforcing best practices. Deploy and apply the Quality Management System within the defined scope of work to maintain consistent quality performance.

Generate, audit, and review documentation accurately and in a detail-oriented manner to support quality records and traceability. Collaborate with engineering, production, and test teams to resolve quality issues and ensure hardware meets specifications. Adapt to changing priorities while dealing with standardized situations and maintaining a high level of quality and compliance. Perform other appropriate quality-related activities as assigned to support program and organizational objectives.

Essential Skills At least 4 years of experience working as a technician in a production, test, or hardware-focused environment. At least 4 years of experience in CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programming. At least 4 years of experience applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). At least 2 years of experience working with and applying ISO standards. Diploma or GED or equivalent level of education.

Ability to read and interpret component and assembly drawings to verify conformance to specifications. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and colleagues. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language for documentation and communication purposes. Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including working with units of American currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Ability to work within standardized procedures while remaining flexible to changing priorities. Strong attention to detail with the ability to correctly generate, audit, and review documentation. Computer proficiency with the ability to learn new software tools as required for quality and inspection activities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.

At least 8 years of overall experience in technician or quality-related roles is preferred. Familiarity with metrology equipment, including measurement tools and inspection instruments, is preferred. Familiarity with the AS9100 standard and aerospace quality management practices is preferred. Previous experience or exposure to design and manufacturing environments, including implementation of protocols, is desirable.

Ability to work closely with subject matter experts, contributing to collaborative problem-solving on challenging technical issues.
