Job Title: Service Technician Job Description The Service Technician installs, removes, and services ATMs and related equipment at customer sites, often traveling long distances and staying overnight as needed. This role combines mechanical aptitude, basic construction skills, and professional client interaction to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality installations. You will work with minimal supervision, operate trucks and forklifts, use hand and power tools, and rely on a tablet-based app for DOT logs, communication, and documentation.
Responsibilities Drive a company truck over long distances to customer locations, including routes that require overnight stays. Install and remove various ATM models, including lobby, through-the-wall, and island configurations. Install custom signage associated with ATM and equipment deployments. Modify walls and concrete pads to prepare sites for equipment installation, following specifications and plans.
Use a tablet or mobile app to maintain accurate DOT logs, communicate job status, and upload pictures and documentation. Operate hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and effectively to support installation and removal activities. Engage with clients in a positive, professional manner, representing the company’s values and service standards. Maintain composure under pressure and troubleshoot issues that arise during installations or service calls.
Communicate job details clearly with the installation team to ensure coordinated, efficient work. Work safely and independently with minimal supervision, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Assist with restructuring and reconfiguring islands of old machines and equipment as part of field service and construction-related tasks. Read and interpret floor plans and blueprints as needed to guide installation and rigging activities.
Complete required driving, safety, and compliance documentation accurately and on time. Follow all company policies related to equipment use, site preparation, and customer interactions. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED. Safe driving record and ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card. Skilled and confident in using hand and power tools for installation and basic construction tasks.
Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the work shift. Ability to push, pull, lift, or carry 75+ pounds on a regular basis. Strong communication skills, including written, oral, and active listening. Ability to work safely with minimal supervision in varied and sometimes demanding environments. Personal character aligned with the company’s core values and beliefs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and interest in working with technical and mechanical equipment.
Experience in carpentry, construction, or heavy equipment moving. Ability to read and interpret floor plans and blueprints. Rigging or millwright experience. Field service experience, particularly in installation or construction-related work. Experience as a service technician or installer for equipment of similar size and complexity (such as kiosk or vending-style machinery). Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is field-based and primarily takes place at various customer sites, wi
