Shipping Receiving Clerk

Job Title: Shipping Receiving Clerk Job Description As a Shipping Receiving Clerk, you will perform both manual and automated processes to ensure accurate recording of material transfers into and out of the site. This role requires attention to detail and precision in handling materials. Responsibilities Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.

Assist shipping and receiving departments by unloading trucks and checking merchandise as needed. Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas. Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.

Open bales, crates, and containers. Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Prepare parcels for mailing. Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and work area through sweeping, dusting, and other assigned duties. Essential Skills Inventory management Shipping and receiving processes Ability to interpret graphs and electrical diagnostics Assembly and troubleshooting capabilities Understanding of electrical schematics and blueprints Strong computer skills including Windows OS and related software Field service and electrical control expertise Excel data entry proficiency Quality assurance testing and development Knowledge of pneumatics Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.

Problem-solving skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Advanced PC skills, including knowledge of specific software packages. Ability to write simple correspondence and understand visual aids. Understanding of simple one- or two-step instructions and standardized situations. Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Grantsville, UT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.29 - $29.32/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
