Join Oshkosh Aerotech as a Site Maintenance Supervisor at LAXTEC, located at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). In this role, you will oversee daily site operations, team scheduling, safety management, productivity, maintenance activities, and material coordination. You'll provide hands-on guidance and training to enhance team performance and customer satisfaction while promoting a strong safety culture.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader with excellent organizational skills who can effectively support operational management and continually improve processes. YOUR IMPACT These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

Oversee daily site and team operations at LAXTEC, including scheduling, work orders, safety, productivity, material coordination, and employee relations. Provide direct support, guidance, and on-the-job training to team members. Foster strong working relationships to enhance team and customer satisfaction. Promote a culture of safety by leading new employee safety training and conducting quality control inspections on maintenance activities.

Support Operational Managers in monitoring and improving LAXTEC site performance and operational reliability. Develop and maintain processes and documentation to enhance operational efficiency. Lead shift handovers and team briefings Participate in scheduled and ad-hoc meetings, training sessions, airport tours, and audits. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED. Valid Driver’s License required.

3+ years of maintenance experience 1-3 years of supervisory or team lead experience Availability for on-call support and work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate. Ability to obtain and maintain airport security badge PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associates or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial technology, or related field Prior experience in airport baggage handling, airline ground operations, or facility maintenance in a 24/7 airport operational environment.

Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and email systems. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of Site Supervisor, the employee is regularly required to stand; sit; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder work required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good, close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Good hand / eye coordination is required.
