Job Title: Test Technician Job Description This role offers the opportunity to join a stable, growing organization as a Test Technician, performing standard and specialized testing and inspection of a variety of products. Working under limited supervision, you will use production drawings, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, wire lists, sketches, and verbal instructions to test sub-assemblies, assemblies, and complex upper-level systems.

You will contribute as a key member of the production team in a job-shop environment, supporting multiple product types and building on your experience with mechanical, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic assemblies. Responsibilities Test sub-assemblies, assemblies, and complex upper-level systems at the direction of the production leadership team. Work as an active member of the production team to help meet schedules and complete assignments in a timely manner.

Perform visual inspection and leak testing of hose assemblies, including helium or gas leak checks as required. Use power supplies and other test equipment to evaluate and verify the performance of various electrical products and devices. Generate and enter First Pass Yield data into the production log accurately and on time. Enter Statistical Process Control (SPC) data as necessary to support quality and process monitoring.

Interpret and work from production drawings, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, wire lists, and verbal instructions. Organize tools and maintain a clean, orderly workstation to support safety, efficiency, and product quality. Troubleshoot basic electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical issues using test equipment and fundamental electrical theory. Interface with engineering and, when needed, customers to discuss test findings, product performance, and issues requiring resolution.

Generate clear, accurate reports regarding test findings and communicate results to relevant stakeholders. Adapt to working on multiple product types in a job-shop oriented manufacturing environment. Follow applicable standards, procedures, and quality requirements, including those related to ANSI, ISO, and IPC when applicable. Perform other duties as assigned to support production, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills 1–2+ years of helium leak checking or gas leak testing experience, or electro-mechanical testing and troubleshooting experience. 1–2+ years of experience generating reports that document test findings and results. 1–2+ years of experience working with electrical schematics and mechanical drawings in a production or testing environment. Hands-on experience working on mechanical, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic assemblies.

Understanding of basic electrical theory and principles, including the use of electrical and electronic test equipment. Experience performing electrical device testing and troubleshooting. Helium or gas leak testing experience with hose assemblies or similar components. Proficiency in MS Office and general computer use for data entry, reporting, and communication. Ability to perform accurate data entry for First Pass Yield and SPC data in production logs or systems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting test results and collaborating with engineering and other teams. Experience interfacing with engineering and, when needed, customers regarding product testing and performance. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds in a production and testing environment. Comfort working under limited supervision while following drawings, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, wire lists, and verbal instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate degree, technical/trade certificate, or equivalent technical education related to electronics, electro-mechanical systems, or a similar field. UL508 testing experience or familiarity with UL standards for industrial control equipment. Working knowledge of ANSI standards and ISO
