Truck Mechanic-$24-28/hr Job Description We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role involves modifying truck chassis, body, and interior. While experience in diesel engine repair is preferred, it is not required. Responsibilities Modify truck chassis, body, and interior. Perform drilling and bolt-style modifications on trucks. Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers when applicable.
Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and modifications with minimal supervision. Report to the Operations Manager for additional duties. Provide technical assistance to helpers and orient and train new employees. Work overtime as business needs dictate. Essential Skills Experience with diesel engines, mechanical systems, and truck modifications. Proficiency in diesel repair, electrical systems, and engine maintenance.
Ability to perform hydraulic system repairs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus. Must have own toolbox. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a fabrication environment that is dirty, dusty, and non-climate controlled. Be prepared for hands-on work in challenging conditions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denton, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
