Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description This role focuses on supporting a 1st shift warehouse operation by tracking and inspecting inbound materials, verifying received items, using computer systems to manage inventory, and maintaining accurate material records. The position also involves operating material handling equipment and performing general labor tasks related to receiving and shipping.
Responsibilities Track and inspect inbound materials to ensure accuracy and quality. Verify items received against packing lists, purchase orders, or other documentation. Use computer systems to enter, update, and track inventory data in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain clear and accurate records of all materials received, stored, and shipped. Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials.
Support general warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, and inventory activities. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including preparing items for shipment and confirming outgoing orders. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the shift. Follow all safety procedures and warehouse policies while performing daily tasks. Work a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, with occasional Friday work as needed.
Essential Skills Previous warehouse experience, ideally with at least 1 year of tenure or longevity in prior roles. Knowledge of computer systems used for inventory tracking and warehouse operations. Experience with inventory tracking processes in a warehouse environment. Experience in general labor tasks related to receiving, shipping, and shipping and receiving functions. Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
Ability to lift 20–30 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift. Reliable work history demonstrating consistency and commitment, preferably in warehouse positions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous clerk experience in a warehouse or similar environment is beneficial. Experience with material handling equipment is an advantage. Comfort working in a facility that is not climate controlled.

The role involves standing for long periods, lifting 20–30 pounds repeatedly, and working around material handling equipment and standard warehouse tools. Employees are expected to follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate attire suitable for a warehouse setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkhart, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
