Warehouse Worker Job Description The Warehouse Picker is responsible for accurately selecting, scanning, and preparing materials for shipment while maintaining inventory accuracy and following all safety procedures. This role supports warehouse and production operations through order fulfillment, material movement, and inventory control. Responsibilities Pick customer orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and reach trucks. Ensure accurate inventory control and manage shipping and receiving processes. Maintain warehouse safety and adhere to all procedures. Perform heavy lifting and general labor tasks as required. Essential Skills Experience with RF scanners. Forklift operation skills. Proficiency in inventory control. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous warehouse, distribution, or picking experience preferred. Forklift and/or cherry picker experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Basic computer skills. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role requires working on 2nd or 3rd shifts from Monday to Friday, between 11pm and 7am, with no weekends or holidays. The work takes place in a warehouse facility where the dress code consists of jeans and t-shirts, with all clothing being 100% cotton Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scranton, PA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.05 - $23.05/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
