Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description The Warehouse Worker accurately pulls, stages, and prepares customer orders while operating a sit-down forklift and using RF scanners and warehouse systems to track inventory and product movement. This role supports shipping, receiving, and general warehouse operations, ensuring orders are loaded, unloaded, and documented correctly in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities Pull and stage customer orders accurately based on pick tickets or system instructions. Load and unload trucks while following proper loading patterns and delivery schedules. Operate a sit-down forklift to move, stage, and organize materials throughout the warehouse. Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory tracking to maintain inventory accuracy. Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to track product movement and verify orders.
Verify order accuracy, labels, and documentation prior to shipment. Maintain clean and organized warehouse areas to support safety and operational efficiency. Assist with receiving, put-away, and general warehouse support tasks as needed. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working efficiently in a team environment. Support shipping and receiving processes, including preparing orders for dispatch and checking incoming materials.
Essential Skills 2+ years of previous warehouse experience, including order picking, shipping and receiving, and inventory-related tasks. Proven material handling experience in a warehouse setting. Forklift experience with sit-down forklifts required. Ability to use RF scanners or similar inventory systems to track and verify product movement. Strong attention to detail with a clear focus on order accuracy and proper documentation.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks such as lifting, walking, and bending. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with frequent on/off forklift activity. Experience in inventory control, inventory counting, and cycle counting. Reliable team player with the ability to follow established procedures and safety protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a warehouse worker, order puller, or production worker in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
Background in shipping and receiving operations, including staging and preparing outbound orders. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and basic computer-based inventory tools. Ability to organize materials and maintain orderly storage areas to support efficient workflow. Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and support a collaborative environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.05 - $22.05/hr.
