NOW Hiring MIG Welders! Job Overview We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform welding and fabrication work on carbon and stainless steel components using .045 wire. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel using .045 wire.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Measure materials and completed workpieces using tape measures and other measuring tools. Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to safely move materials and finished products. Assist with fabrication processes, including operating brake presses, drill presses, and other shop equipment as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards. Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Qualifications Required Minimum of 6 months of welding experience OR an Associate Degree in Welding. Experience with MIG welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Strong measuring and layout skills, including the ability to accurately use a tape measure.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship. Preferred Experience operating overhead cranes. Forklift experience or certification. Familiarity with brake press and drill press operations. Manufacturing or fabrication shop experience. Benefits 100% employer-paid health benefits upon direct hire. Shift Options 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 11:50 PM Overtime may be available based on production needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
