Please visit our website at www.dcyf.org for more information.   Job Description The 1823 Senior Administrative Analyst performs complex, sensitive, and detailed professional-level analytical work in the areas of legislative and administrative policy and data analysis related to children, youth and family services. The position supports Departmental functions with data management, policy analysis and program evaluation, as well as conducting key research and strategic planning.

This position will report to the Director of Communications, Data & Strategic Alignment but will also provide analytical support to program managers in other units and is expected to exercise excellent independent judgment. The essential duties of this position include:  Analyzes trends in Department-funded services, prepares statistical reports; coordinates and monitors departmental reporting including the reporting of data by DCYF-funded programs.

Works with staff from various teams to define and monitor key metrics in funding strategies, initiatives and with the Department’s contracts with nonprofit providers that ensure alignment with system wide goals and support performance accountability. Prepares recommendations with appropriate supporting documentation regarding how to comply with legislation and regulations, Mayor’s and Board of Supervisors’ directives, law, court decisions and/or memoranda of understanding; develops implements and monitors new and revised reporting systems required by legislation and/or new policy.

Supports the development of the Department’s Community Needs Assessment (CNA) and Service Allocation Plan (SAP) and Request for Proposals (RFP), including analyzing policies, and quantitative and qualitative data. Supports the implementation of internal planning groups related to the Departments' funding strategies and initiatives, including preparing presentations and leading data related discussions.
