Job Description Boone Power is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout our two-story headquarters and campus facilities.
This position plays an important role in ensuring our employees, visitors, and stakeholders have a facility that is sanitary, well-maintained, organized, and ready for daily operations. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong attention to detail, and can work independently while providing professional and courteous service to employees, visitors, contractors, and other members of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities Facility Cleaning & Sanitation Clean and sanitize offices, corridors, stairwells, lobbies, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors; clean carpets and rugs as scheduled. Empty trash and recycling receptacles and ensure proper waste disposal. Replenish restroom and breakroom supplies, including soap and paper products. Clean windows, glass doors, mirrors, and interior fixtures.
Perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks, including floor stripping and waxing and carpet shampooing. Campus & Outbuilding Support Maintain cleanliness of outbuildings, storage areas, and auxiliary facilities. Remove debris from building entrances, walkways, loading areas, and other campus locations. Assist with seasonal campus maintenance activities, including leaf removal, light snow removal, and exterior washing as needed.
Light Maintenance & Reporting Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing filters, and tightening fixtures. Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and needed repairs to Facilities Management. Assist maintenance personnel and contractors as directed. Event & Meeting Support Set up and break down tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings and events.
Ensure meeting and event spaces are clean, organized, and reset according to facility standards. Safety & Compliance Follow all safety procedures and proper handling requirements for cleaning chemicals and equipment. Maintain compliance with OSHA and facility safety standards. Lock and unlock facility doors as assigned. Maintain custodial storage areas in a clean, organized, and compliant condition.
