Dungarvin is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a person living independently in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) Intensive Apartment Program in Milwaukee. This is a unique DSP opportunity. You won't be working a traditional group-home schedule. Instead, you'll provide individualized support based on the person's needs while helping them maintain their home, participate in the community, manage appointments, prepare meals, and build independence.

What makes this role different? You will work 22 hours per week, but your schedule is flexible. The position requires you to have physical contact with the person served 7 days a week, but not every day is a full workday. 3 days per week: Cleaning and maintaining their home Grocery shopping and meal preparation Community outings and activities Attending medical appointments Medication assistance Supporting daily living skills and independence 4 other days per week: You'll complete a brief in-person check-in with the individual.

These check-ins are approximately 20 minutes and are simply about making physical contact, ensuring they're doing well, and providing the support needed that day. Flexible scheduling Your 22 hours can be scheduled flexibly between 9:00 AM and 11:00 PM, based on the needs of the person served. There is no traditional Monday–Friday, 8–4 schedule. Instead, your schedule will vary based on what support is needed and when it makes the most sense for the individual.

This could be a great fit if you: Want a part-time DSP position with a flexible schedule Enjoy working one-on-one rather than in a busy group-home environment Are dependable and comfortable committing to a daily check-in Enjoy helping someone live as independently as possible Like variety rather than doing the same thing every day Are comfortable assisting with household tasks, meals, appointments, medication support and community activities Want to build a meaningful relationship with the person you support One important thing to know Because this is an Intensive Apartment/SIL program, the biggest requirement is consistency.

You must be able to physically check in with the person served every day, 7 days a week. The schedule is flexible, but the daily commitment is not. If you are looking for a traditional part-time schedule where you work only 2–3 days
