Be Bold, Be Inspired, Be You. Job Description WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: You are detail-oriented, a multitasker, and love planning and organizing. You love helping your team and ensuring each department is setup for success - and it just so happens you will be doing just that in an award-winning hotel. Unload incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage, and verify quantities against purchase orders or invoices.
Perform routine cycle counts, and assist with full inventory audits Label and organize inventory using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methods, monitor expiration dates, and flag low stock levels to Purchasing manager Pull, pack, and distribute requested supplies to departments (Kitchens, Amuse, Banquets) Clean and sanitize storeroom areas, refrigerators, and freezers while operating machinery like pallet jacks according to safety guidelines Ensure all order documents are complete and verified (i.e.
purchase orders, daily market lists) Verify all outgoing merchandise is properly authorized and recorded Communicate effectively with departments and facilitate the ordering of products Personally check inventory levels are maintained to minimize waste and maximize ratio turnover. Maintain a process to ensure pars of stock are maintained with trigger mechanism for timely deliveries Utilize Birchstreet for electronic ordering and receiving Review purchase requests with Purchasing Manager Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager, Director, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Front office to ensure inventory is accurate and stocked Maintain and organize the dry goods supply area with building pars and managing purchases Assist with keeping par and organization of 24/7 Store inventory Reports any hazards, risks, accidents as required Any other tasks that may be assigned Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:  Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift Frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs Frequent moving or pushing items on a hand cart/truck weighing up to approximately 400 lbs Qualifications YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE: Service focused personality is essential; experience is an asset Prior experience working with inventory, supply ordering, and purchasing an asset Computer skills preferred including Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to navigate systems Ability to take initiative, organize, direct, and plan Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus  1 year in related and/or equivalent hospitality experience preferred Demonstrate strong communication skills both verbal and written.
