Job Description The Role: Our People & Operations Advisor provides day-to-day HR advisory and operational support across the Corporate Centre, ensuring the consistent delivery of HR services and people processes throughout the employee lifecycle. Working closely with managers, employees and the Head of People, the role provides practical support across a broad range of HR activities, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, benefits, data management and people processes.
The role plays an important part in ensuring employees receive a responsive and professional HR service while helping managers navigate people matters effectively and consistently. The role acts as a key point of coordination for HR administration and operational activities, maintaining accurate employee records, supporting people processes and ensuring compliance with Group policies and employment requirements.
Your Responsibilities HR Advisory & Employee Relations • Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and employees on policies, procedures and day-to-day people matters, ensuring a consistent and practical approach. • Support managers in the handling of employee relations matters, including absence management, performance concerns, conduct issues, flexible working requests and employee wellbeing matters, escalating more complex cases where required.
• Assist with organisational change activities, employee consultations and people-related communications as required. • Build effective relationships with managers and employees, helping to ensure a positive employee experience and timely resolution of HR queries. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle • Deliver and coordinate employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment administration, onboarding, probation management, employee changes, transfers, contractual amendments and offboarding activities.
• Ensure employee records, contracts, documentation and HR systems are maintained accurately, confidentially and in accordance with company and legal requirements. • Support the smooth delivery of HR processes by monitoring actions, coordinating approvals and ensuring key activities are completed within agreed timescales. • Respond to employee and manager enquiries, resolving routine requests and coordinating support from specialist teams where required.
Payroll, Benefits & HR Administration • Support monthly payroll processes by coordinating employee changes, maintaining accurate records and ensuring payroll inputs are submitted correctly and on time. • Act as a key liaison between employees, managers, payroll providers and benefits administrators to resolve queries and support service delivery. • Support the administration of employee benefits and wellbeing programmes, ensuring employees receive accurate information and assistance when required.
• Monitor and maintain HR documentation and records to support audit, governance and statutory requirements.
