Job Description As an HR Manager within our Audit & Assurance Business Unit, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the people agenda for our business. You will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and stakeholders, providing expert guidance across the full employee life cycle. You will lead and develop a team of HR professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR services and compliance with best practice and employment legislation.
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on operational delivery, supporting both day-to-day HR activities and broader organisational change initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the delivery of all HR processes across the employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, reward, talent development, employee relations, and offboarding. Partner with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and provide tailored HR solutions that support business goals.
Oversee and ensure the integrity of HR data, analytics, and reporting, driving continuous improvement in HR processes and governance. Manage complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management, ensuring compliance with SA employment law and internal policies. Lead the annual compensation and bonus review processes, working closely with the Reward team.
Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures, mergers, and acquisitions, ensuring effective change management and communication. Coach and develop HR team members, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous development. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Reward, and Learning & Development teams to deliver integrated people solutions. Ensure high quality and timely payroll input and HR administration.
Drive the adoption and effective use of HR systems and tools. Support the delivery of HR-related projects and initiatives as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline (essential). Postgraduate qualification would be beneficial. 6 - 8 years proven experience in an HR management or senior HR generalist role, ideally within a professional services or consulting environment.
Strong and up-to-date knowledge of the full employee life cycle, HR best practice, and employment law. Demonstrated experience leading and coaching HR teams, and managing complex employee relations matters. Proven track record of delivering HR projects and supporting organisational change initiatives. Advanced proficiency with HR systems (e.g. Workday, SAP, Oracle) and HR analytics/reporting tools.
