Invest in us and we’ll invest in you!. Job Description Are you an experienced Data Engineer who wants to work with cutting edge technologies? Are you keen to build, develop and work at the forefront and centre of data engineering in a global enterprise? If so, this may be the role for you! Reporting to the Data Engineering Manager you will: Provide technical expertise and oversight for migration program of analytics workloads from on-prem analytics software to GCP BigQuery platform.

Work with business teams to understand their requirements and to provide and coordinate support during the migration process. Assign migration tasks to junior team members and ensure they are progressing in line with migration plan. Identify and implement appropriate programs of testing and validation for migrated workloads. Create functional design specifications and/or user stories as required. Ensure all developments and project work are in line with Revenue standards.

Quality assure code and output in the project. Peer review code. Identify and implement appropriate programs of testing and validation for migrated workloads. Mentor and coach junior members. Guide intermediate level team members in their work. Support project managers in all aspects of their work. Provide input to governance and status reports. Outline resource requirements for a project/sub team.

Help track project progress against the plan and report variances. Identify and report on any technical risks that might be relevant to the project delivery. Manage issues and risks affecting the project/team. Investigate and prioritise live incidents. Perform root cause analysis and propose permanent fixes or suitable workarounds as required. Organise live incident tickets or bug tracking. Manage and monitor live issues across various Revenue Systems.

Liaise with development / Continuous Service Improvement teams to identify and implement fixes as required to resolve live issues. Identify Continuous Service Improvements and work to implement the initiatives. The Data Engineering team is working with new, innovative technologies such as Databricks, Unity Catalog, and AWS alongside established technologies like SQL Server. Qualifications Key Requirements/Skills required for this role:  Extensive experience in data engineering.  Experience with cloud-based data technologies and/or migration of data and associated systems to cloud.   Experience with AI-assisted development.  Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Ability to manage and work with large teams.  Good team‐player, with strong interpersonal skills.
