Cloud investment continues to grow, and organisations need expert guidance to maximise value from every pound they spend. As a Senior FinOps Consultant, you'll work directly with customers to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimise public cloud environments and build mature FinOps capabilities that deliver long-term business value. This is a highly visible consulting role combining technical expertise, commercial awareness and customer engagement.
What You'll Be Doing Identify, analyse and prioritise cloud cost optimisation opportunities across Azure, AWS and GCP environments. Quantify potential savings and business benefits using FinOps methodologies and tooling. Implement usage and rate optimisation strategies to reduce cloud expenditure and improve efficiency. Design and deliver FinOps maturity roadmaps tailored to customer objectives. Lead customer workshops, presentations and enablement sessions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Produce high-quality customer-facing reports and optimisation recommendations. Advise organisations on cloud financial management best practices and governance. Collaborate closely with pre-sales, professional services and managed services teams to drive successful customer outcomes. Support customers in establishing and scaling FinOps operating models. Help organisations build sustainable processes for continuous cloud cost optimisation.
What We're Looking For Essential Proven experience implementing FinOps practices within Azure, AWS and/or GCP environments. Strong knowledge of the FinOps Framework, lifecycle, domains and capabilities. Hands-on experience with cloud cost management and optimisation tools. Ability to analyse complex data sets and identify trends, anomalies and cost-saving opportunities. Strong customer-facing consulting and stakeholder management skills.
Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain cloud economics clearly. FinOps Practitioner or FinOps Professional certification. Desirable AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals. Experience operating within multi-cloud environments. Experience designing FinOps transformation or maturity programmes.
