Assistant Coach of Women's Lacrosse

INTRODUCTORY PERIOD: Twelves (12) Months  AVAILABLE:  Immediately POSTING DATE: September 11th, 2026 APPLICATION DEADLINE:  Open Until Filled, Apply Immediately Definition of Classification: Under the supervision of the Head Coach, the Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach plays a critical role in supporting the mission of the University of Redlands and the values of the Department of Physical Education and Athletics.

This full-time position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the Women’s Lacrosse program, including recruiting, coaching, operations, and administrative duties. The Assistant Coach must operate in full compliance with University policies, NCAA Division III regulations, and SCIAC guidelines. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Serve as the program’s recruiting coordinator, identifying, evaluating, and recruiting prospective student-athletes who are a strong fit for the University’s academic and athletic environment.

Maintain consistent and effective communication with prospective student-athletes, their families, and the Admissions Office. Organize and conduct on-campus and off-campus visits and recruiting events. Assist with all aspects of on-field coaching, including planning practices, game strategy, and skill development. Experience coaching goalkeeping and/or attacking positions is strongly preferred. Manage and maintain the team’s social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook), in alignment with departmental branding and communication standards.

Assist in opponent scouting and the creation of scouting reports to inform team preparation and strategy. Coordinate and lead ID camps, clinics, and youth engagement events. Teach assigned physical education activity courses during the academic year. Accept and fulfill a collateral departmental assignment, such as game management, administrative support, or student-athlete development. Contribute actively as a team member within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, supporting department-wide initiatives and events.

Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics. Qualification Guidelines Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following: Experience/Training/Education: Required: Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of three (3) years of coaching experience, preferably at the intercollegiate level. Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain student-athletes committed to both academic and athletic excellence.

Clear understanding of NCAA Division III philosophy and the role of athletics in a private, liberal arts setting. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse community of students, staff, and faculty. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruiting, coaching, and program leadership. Valid California Class C Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within ten (10) days of appointment.

A current DMV driving record demonstrating a good driving history will be required post-offer. Preferred: Master’s degree in kinesiology, education, sports management, or related field. Collegiate-level playing experience. Experience with goalkeeper and/or offensive player development. Familiarity with recruiting management platforms (e.g., Front Rush, ARMS). Experience coordinating camps, clinics, and community outreach.
