What You’ll Do: Looking to break into the restaurant business? The Busser is the perfect entry-level opportunity for you to gain experience. Every service team needs a capable assistant to have their back! Here are a few of the tasks you can expect to complete regularly: Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave. Carry dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware to the dishwashing area.

Wipe and reset tables with clean plates, utensils, napkins, and condiments. Assist servers with delivering food and beverages when needed. Refill water and other table items. Keep dining areas, service stations, and floors clean and organized. Help restock dishes, glassware, and supplies. Assist with opening and closing restaurant duties. Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.

Provide friendly and helpful service to guests and support the restaurant team. Where You’ve Been: We’re looking for someone with a high school diploma or equivalent. While previous bartending experience is a plus, it is not required. What we really want is someone capable of thinking on their feet and able to keep up in high-pressure situations.   When You’re Here: This probably goes without saying but you’ll be on your feet a lot. There will be occasions when you may be carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting, climbing stairs and more. You also must be able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
