This is a Cactus Wellhead position and is located in Odessa, TX. JOB SUMMARY: This position supports the branch operations network and assists the Quality team with implementation and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Branch Operations System (BOS). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
Practice and promote safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations. Represent Cactus Wellhead as a non-voting member on API Sub-Committee 6 by attending meetings, reviewing and commenting on API ballots, participating in standards development activities and keeping the company updated on API 6A and API 6R specification changes.
Assists with implementation, monitoring and improvement of the Branch Operations System and those processes which integrate with the Houston and Bossier City locations. Participate in the Cactus Wellhead auditing process by conducting branch assessments, QMS internal audits, product audits, process audits and e-auditing activities. Conduct branch assessment follow-ups and provide training of branch associates as needed.
Assist with investigations, corrective action solutions and follow up activities for branch responsible Field Performance Reports (FPR) and the company notification of potential problems through the creation and release of Field Advisories. Participate in the Supplier Management Process inclusive of auditing suppliers and developing purchasing specifications to address the API Supply Chain Management standards.
Oversee the development of the Quality Management System and Branch Operations System training presentations and Wellhead 101 toolbox talks to educate Cactus Wellhead associates and creation of supporting examinations to verify training effectiveness. Review industry literature and keep abreast of emerging quality system improvements and tactical tools. Performing other related duties as assigned or requested.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and 3-5 years related experience; or 7-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Preferred, but not required, ASQ Certified Quality Manager, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Working knowledge of Quality Systems, Mechanical, Electronic and Hydraulic experience, measuring and test equipment, dimensional inspection, read and interpret engineering drawings, Advanced Computer Skills, Advanced Language Skills, Strong Mathematical Skills and Advanced Reasoning Ability SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
