The Shared Services Coordinator assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources function and duties.  Assists with the implementation of services, policies and programs.  Carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: onboarding, employee relations, timekeeping, benefits, organizational development and/or HRIS technology.

Position Responsibilities may include: • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, payroll, procedures, programs, etc.; resolve issues and escalate to appropriate point of contact if further assistance is needed • Assists with employee relations, benefits, training, events, communications and compensation programs • Responsible for the Remedy ticket system • Ensures timely and accurate processing and proper withholding of employee garnishments • Prepares and requesting manual checks  • Maintains and updates payroll records • Ensures that appropriate approvals are verified for payroll processing • Seeks and receives approval from upper management for payments when needed • Coordinates and oversees the PTO balances, anniversary and termination payout • Assists with departmental audits to ensure compliance and consistency of Company and Government (Federal and State) requirements and policies.

• Provides support to other HR functions and administrative areas in the Company (such as FMLA) • Assist with employee relations, benefits, training, events, communications and compensation programs • Assist with the collection of new hire documents and processing of I-9s & E-Verify • Conduct new hire employee orientations (including badging) • Process new hire data in the HRIS system along with updating employee data as needed • Perform other duties as assigned Nature & Scope: • Works within well-defined instructions • Uses established procedures and works under supervision to perform assigned tasks  • Work is closely supervised Knowledge & Skills: • Adapts procedures, processes, and tools to meet the requirements of the role  • Knowledge of the general principles and practices of the HR function • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Ability to Embrace the "Customer and Team First" concept • Proficient computer skills – MS Office – Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint • Experience with HRIS systems/platforms • Ability to focus, high level of attention to detail and accuracy of information • Demonstrate good judgement and problem solving skills • Effective organizational and time management including priority setting skills  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities • Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information • Ability to work flexible schedule when necessary • Strong mathematical, technical and analytical skills along with keen attention to detail • ability to handle a heavy workload and ability to prioritize • Ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
