ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Technical Leadership Possess and maintain broad and in-depth knowledge of principles, practices, procedures, and industry standards related to electrical power systems, instrumentation, controls, automation, SCADA, and protection and control systems. Responsible for: Providing technical leadership and oversight for all EIC engineering deliverables on assigned projects. Serving as Lead EIC Engineer for multidisciplinary engineering projects.

Ensuring the successful execution and coordination of electrical, instrumentation, controls, and protection systems engineering activities. Providing engineering direction and making final technical decisions within the EIC scope of work. Acting as Engineer of Record (EOR), when required, for project deliverables. Reviewing and approving engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, studies, and procurement packages.

Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, client specifications, and industry best practices. Electrical Engineering Responsibilities Lead all electrical deliverables incorporating information from vendor documentation, power system studies, electrical equipment specifications, and construction requirements. Develop and review power system studies and deliverables Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) power distribution systems Single-line diagrams Electrical equipment layouts Cable schedules and cable routing Grounding and bonding systems Lighting systems Motor control center (MCC) designs Standby and emergency power systems Variable frequency drive (VFD) applications Lead electrical system analysis including: Load flow studies Short circuit studies Motor starting studies Protective device coordination studies Arc flash hazard analysis Harmonic analysis Develop equipment specifications, RFQ packages, bid evaluations, and technical recommendations.

Coordinate utility interconnection requirements and power system integration activities. Instrumentation & Controls Responsibilities Lead instrumentation and controls engineering efforts for industrial and utility facilities as required. Develop and review: Instrument indexes Instrument data sheets Instrument installation details Loop drawings Wiring diagrams Cause-and-effect matrices Control narratives Control system architecture drawings Instrument location plans Support development and review of P&IDs to ensure instrumentation and control requirements are properly incorporated.

Define process measurement strategies including pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical, and specialty instrumentation applications. Develop and review control philosophies and operational strategies. Support specification and selection of field instrumentation and control devices. Coordinate instrument procurement and vendor package integration. Project Management & Client Interface Serve as primary client contact for EIC engineering activities.

Lead project kickoff meetings, technical reviews, and client coordination meetings. Develop project scopes, man-hour estimates, schedules, and resource plans. Monitor project budgets, schedules, and technical performance. Identify and mitigate project risks. Support proposal development, scope definition, and technical sales efforts. Build and maintain strong client relationships through successful project delivery.

Leadership and Mentoring Coach, mentor, and develop engineers, designers, and technical staff. Support recruitment, onboarding, and technical development of team members. Promote engineering excellence and consistency within the EIC organization. Help establish and improve department standards, design guides, and engineering procedures. Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance reviews of engineering deliverables.
