SUMMARY The Engineering CO-OP supports the Engineering group through a combination of data collection, data analysis, production support, improvement projects, and capital project work. This position may include time studies, CAD work, analysis of general production metrics, and daily support of the Engineering group. The person in this role will have the opportunity to learn about various production lines processes at the Sartori Whey location and may also support other facilities in the Plymouth area.

This position is targeted to start in late May/early June 2027 and conclude in December 2027. This position works full time, Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm, with flexible starting/ending times.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Performs process time studies to determine current performance and identify areas of potential improvements.

· Identifies and measures waste to determine current scrap rates. · Field measures size, position, and location of machines, lines, and process room layouts. · Redesigns or modifies machine components. · Modifies or creates process work instructions. · Supports R&D production testing as new products are investigated. · Applies lean manufacturing principles.

· Searches databases, catalogs, and manuals, for machine specific details in support of improvement projects. · Establishes credibility with team members throughout the organization. · Effectively communicates technical information in a professional and understandable manner. DIRECT REPORTS This position has no direct reports. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · High school diploma or equivalent (GED), required. · Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, required.

· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, required. · Ability to interpret data and apply analytical thinking to solve problems, required. · Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams, required. · Experience with CAD software, preferred. · Previous internship, co-op, manufacturing, or engineering-related experience, preferred.

· Exposure to lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process optimization concepts, preferred. · Experience in using data analysis or reporting tools, preferred. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WORK LOCATION This position is an onsite role based at Sartori's Whey facility in Plymouth, Wisconsin. Regular onsite presence is required to support engineering projects, manufacturing operations, and cross-functional collaboration.
