Responsibilities: Inspect, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and trailers to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. Diagnose and fix diesel engine issues—from minor tune-ups to major overhauls.
Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections. Troubleshoot and repair trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, lighting, and hydraulics. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and keep accurate maintenance records. Work as part of a skilled team to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience as a diesel and/or trailer mechanic.
Strong knowledge of trailer systems, brakes, suspension, electrical, and hydraulics. CDL or certifications are a plus but not required. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment—this isn’t a desk job. A team player with a commitment to quality and safety. Work Environment: This position is located in an active industrial manufacturing and distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation.
The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The fast-paced environment involves time-sensitive and safety sensitive operations and may include various shift schedules to support production and distribution needs.
