T his position is responsible for assisting and providing care support for adults residing in the Fountains . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES while working in a Life Enrichment Specialist role: Carrying out assigned activities safely and timely (to include, but not limited to room set up, activity set up and tear down, etc.). Organize and implement ongoing activities for residents in the Memory Care units, providing level appropriate services and behavior intervention as necessary.
Plan and implement various activities for residents, in collaboration with Life Enrichment Managers, that challenge the residents’ cognitive, social, and physical needs. Actively participating as a member of the Life Enrichment Department, providing input, attending meetings, evaluating, etc. Coordinating hospitality services for new and current residents at The Commons, The Fountains, and The Cottages (making and delivering welcome gifts to new residents, sending cards/flowers, coordinating birthday/anniversary celebrations, arranging memorial services, etc.).
Facilitating and organizing activities in the evenings, weekends, and holidays as requested, managing time to effectively provide enrichment opportunities for multiple residents. Facilitating scheduled fitness classes, adhering to curriculum set forth by the Life Enrichment Director. Transport residents to various planned outings, and/or assist the driver with loading and unloading.
Utilize various techniques and tactics to engage residents in daily activities requiring direct and demonstrative communication. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES while working in a Transportation Driver role: Properly secure and transport residents to various appointments such as doctor, hospital, employment, shopping, etc., ensuring residents arrive safely and in a timely manner.
Properly transport equipment needed by residents, such as wheelchairs and walkers. May accompany residents to appointments and act as a communication liaison between the resident, provider, and health services.
