Essential Functions Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware. Knowledge of all menu items, prices and methods of preparation. Use suggestive selling techniques to encourage the guests to choose items that are house specialties. Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment. Clean service or seating areas. Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning. Serve food and beverage items to customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner.
Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including garnishes, following service standards and guest preferences. Stay current on trends to create and present cocktail menu items to leadership. Anticipate guests’ needs, take orders using suggestive selling, respond promptly, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. Complete opening and closing duties, maintain bar stock levels, requisition supplies, and ensure all condiments, glassware, and equipment are ready for service.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, promptly clean and reset stations after guest use, and oversee barbacks to ensure smooth operations. Record orders accurately in POS system, process payments following cash handling and credit policies, and manage tip collection and reporting. Maintain required certifications (e.g., TIPS, Food Safety), adhere to safety, security, and operational policies consistent with company standards.
Collaborate effectively with co-workers and other departments to ensure efficient and quality service. Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, and safety and security procedures. Perform all additional duties as assigned by management. Skills and Abilities Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
Must participate in all required meetings and training. Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards. Properly handle and maintain all equipment. Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and constructive feedback in a polite and efficient manner. Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures. Serve customers quickly and efficiently. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings and must be able to make recommendations. Observe relevant health and safety standards. Ensure that the opening/closing duties are complete as per protocol. Have a thorough knowledge of all the retail items. Abide by all policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management. Job Qualifications/Requirements Education: High School diploma or GED equivalence Experience: 1 year experience in a similar role Additional: Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs Pay: $17/hr Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to: Flexible and long hours sometimes required Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel Disclaimer All duties and requirements stated are essential job functions.
