By providing patients and internal and external stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, you’ll help ensure that patients at The Oregon Clinic Gastroenterology East Clinic receive the highest value care tailored to their needs Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include: Providing professional nursing care for clinic patients under the direction of a Physician(s) and within their scope of practice according to the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Performs clinical care in accordance with nursing standards within the specialty, including determining and monitoring venipuncture or catheter placement/insertion sites and administering IV medication and treatment. Verifies necessary information and performs patient assessment and triage.  Performs prescription prior authorizations and orders prescription refills according to clinic protocols.

Orders and maintains medical inventory of supplies as needed. Supports the QA/QI process. Provides patients, families, and caregivers with health education on infusion/IV treatment and care. Other duties as assigned. Salary: Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: Level I: $43.52 -$58.88 per hour. Level II: $47.87 -$64.77 per hour.   Workdays: This role is based at the Gateway Medical Office Building.

Typical hours are two 10-hour shifts on Mondays and Wednesdays (7:00 am - 5:30 pm). Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including: Current Oregon state licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.  Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience is strongly preferred. Infusion and Triage experience is a strong plus! Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred.

Epic experience is a plus! Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS is required.  Prior experience with authorizations is preferred.  Knowledge of IV medications, fluids, and blood products. Skill in performing venipuncture and working with a variety of vascular access devices associated with infusion. Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
