This role provides leadership for the Duty Manager and SOC Coordinator teams and partners closely with SOC departmental leaders to align policies, procedures, manuals, checklists, training materials, and merger and acquisition readiness activities across all areas of the System Operations Control organization, including Dispatch, Crew Scheduling, Crew Travel, Maintenance Control, Maintenance Planning, AOG, Station Support, and other operational support functions.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve SOC policies, procedures, manuals, checklists, and quick reference materials to support safe, compliant, and efficient daily operations. Design and maintain initial, recurrent, and career development training curriculum for Duty Manager and SOC Coordinator teams, including daily operations management, irregular operations, emergency response, security, safety, applicable manuals, crew scheduling rules, delay management, and leadership development.
Conduct initial and recurrent training for SOC Duty Managers and SOC Coordinators, ensuring training content remains current, practical, and aligned with operational needs. Implement new or revised policies and procedures in coordination with the Sr. Director, SOC and applicable SOC department leaders. Serve as the owner and primary steward of the SOC Manual, ensuring content is accurate, current, and aligned with regulatory, operational, and company requirements.
Serve as the owner and primary steward of the Delay Management Manual, including updates, communication, training, and operational implementation. Develop and maintain significant event call procedures, operational escalation guidance, and related checklists used during irregular operations and high-impact events. Support the Emergency Response Manager with SOC checklist maintenance, training alignment, and readiness activities.
Partner with SOC departments, including Dispatch, Crew Scheduling, Crew Travel, Maintenance Control, Maintenance Planning, AOG, Station Support, and other operational teams, to ensure training and procedural guidance reflects current cross-functional processes. Identify oppo
