What You'll Do: 1. Responsible for the overall operation of the Preoperative and Postoperative Service areas in accordance with regulatory and professional practice standards including, but not limited to: Provides direct supervision of nursing and support staff Directs daily operations and patient throughput ensuring optimized workflows Utilizes evidence-based information and professional standards of practice (e.g.

AORN guidelines, ASPAN standards) to develop policy and procedures to ensure delivery of high-quality perioperative/periprocedural care Oversees adherence to hospital policy and procedures and patient safety standards Maintains compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards Monitors key result measures and addresses performance gaps Monitors and supports cost effective resource utilization Recruits, hires, evaluates and develops employees providing effective conflict resolution Promotes a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork Lead unit specific process improvement initiatives and collaborate with department leaders for multidisciplinary process improvement initiatives.

Develops and manages department budgets (e.g. labor and supply costs, productivity, capital) Collaborates with department leadership in conducting annual and periodic survey readiness rounds Provides unit specific expertise on department and organizational-wide committees Lead and support unit specific customer service initiatives 2. Responsible for direct and indirect clinical activities including, but not limited to:  Reviews, interprets, revises, and supports operational efficiencies.

Provides consultation in decision making/planning and assumes leadership role in identifying opportunities for improvement in patient care and organizational processes. Assist leadership with operational and fiscal planning to improve outcomes, services, operations, and cost in response to changing trends or issues. Communicate with team members and leadership to share information and facilitate decision making.

Support staff involvement in professional development activities. Maintains collaborative relationships with the clinical departments, units, and leadership and contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through identification and participation in performance improvement initiatives 3. Responsible for establishing collaborative relationships and serving as liaison with community educational institutions, including but not limited to:  Serve as a consultant/resource with local agencies in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing educational programming to assist with acquisition of knowledge in healthcare.

Utilizes theory, evidence-based practice, learning principles, and educational standards in the development of educational programming. Continually performs program evaluation to improve programming.   Role Requirements: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing Master’s degree in Nursing or related field Current, unrestricted Ohio RN license Previous progressive leadership experience   Minimum of five (5) years perioperative nursing experience Specialty certification (CPAN/CAPA) preferred or ability to obtain within one year of employment Must maintain continuous certification in American Heart Association’s BLS Must attains American Heart Association ACLS and American Heart Association PALS provider cards within six (6) months of employment Shift:  1st  Hours 80 per pay (Every two weeks) Benefits • Medical Insurance • Dental Insurance • Vision Insurance • Life Insurance • Flexible Spending Account Time Off • Vacation • Sick Leav
