Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:                                                                                           Responsible for providing professional nursing care for clinic patients under the direction of a Physician(s) and within their scope of practice according to the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Works directly with physicians and staff in coordinating excellent patient care. Registered Nurses function as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and physicians. Performs patient assessment and triage, either in person or over the phone. Properly documents all encounters for providers review, flagging any urgent concerns. Performs clinical care in accordance with nursing standards within the specialty; may include taking vitals, recording and verifying medications, wound care, phlebotomy, injections, administering injections and treatments.

Assists providers with routine dermatology procedures/surgeries. Provides patient and families health education. Orders prescription refills according to clinic protocol. Assists physicians with procedures according to prescribed standards. Anticipates the needs of the physician. Orders and maintains medical inventory of supplies as needed. Checks emergency medication and IV trays regularly. Supports the QA/QI process.

Other duties as assigned. Salary: Hiring range, based on experience and credentials :  Level I: $43.52 -$58.88 per hour. Workdays: This role is located at the Broadway Medical Clinic in Northeast Portland. Typical hours are 32.5 per week, Monday-Friday (9:00 am – 4:00 pm). Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including: Current Oregon state licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Experience as a Registered Nurse in a Dermatology outpatient clinical setting is strongly preferred. Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS may be required by specialty. Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is strongly preferred. Epic experience is a plus! Excellent attendance and work ethic. Positive attitude and desire to be a team player. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
