Job Summary The Stand-up forklift operator is responsible for safely operating forklift while performing warehouse and material handling duties. Job Responsibilities    Forklift Operation : Drive the stand-up forklift and control the movement of lifting apparatus by moving levers and pressing pedals Material Handling : Position lifting forks under loaded pallets or skids, transport loads to designated areas, and stack materials by raising and lowering the lifting device Organization : Maintain material in an efficient and orderly manner by size and grade for easy retrieval Inventory Management : Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed Inspection and Reporting : Inspect materials for damage or shortages and report findings to the supervisor Loading/Unloading : Load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting devices Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance on the forklift, including lubricating the truck, recharging batteries, filling the fuel tank, or replacing the liquefied gas tank Additional Duties : Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support warehouse operations Qualifications  Certification : Valid active stand-up forklift certification.

Communication : Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees, and to read and understand safety rules, operation, maintenance, and procedure manuals. Mathematics : Proficiency in basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
