About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency (DHA), located at Fort Eisenhower, Augusta, GA. This position is a multi provider dental office with duty hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4:30p.m., Monday-Friday. Applicant can expect to achieve a greater understanding of dentistry and work in cooperative and motivated environment. This is an open continuous announcement. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Major duties: Perform inter-oral procedures as directed by dentist.,Obtains preliminary dental impressions to support fabrication of diagnostic study models.,Operates dental radiographic equipment to capture diagnostic images that support provider evaluation and treatment planning.,Receive and schedule patients for treatment.,Prepare and arrange all instruments and materials needed for each treatment.,Sterilizes dental instruments, materials, and equipment using approved infection-control protocols to ensure compliance with clinical safety standards.,Take and record blood pressure and pulse of oral surgery patients before and after treatment.,Aid in the training of trainee dental assistants and students.,Prepares surgical trays by arranging sterilized instruments and supplies according to procedure-specific requirements.,Removes sutures in accordance with clinical provider instructions to support postoperative healing assessments.,Places and removes rubber dams to isolate teeth and maintain a controlled operative environment.
Education: FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S.
